Conservation and Raptor Rare New birds |
As you may have already known, the Southwestern Raptor Club has been waiting over a month for the arrival of their very first Golden Eagle and Rough-Legged Hawk. The two birds came to us from Cody, Wyoming on Friday, April 23. |
The Golden Eagle, to be named Lakota, was put into rehabilitation as a result of a right wing tip injury. The Rough-Legged Hawk, to be name Athena, was put into rehabilitation after her wing was injured when she ran into a power line. |
We are very excited to have two such magnificent birds at our Raptor Rehabilitation Center and we hope that these are the first of many new and unique birds we will receive. |
