On Saturday, April 24, Southwestern Raptor Club held its first annual fundraising auction in the Southwestern cafeteria. Over 150 valuable and unique items were auctioned at the event.

Among these were numerous celebrity signed items and also a variety of sports memorabilia. Such as a signed photo of Mohammad Ali, Martina McBride, a signed Clint Eastwood movie poster, a signed print of Eastwood's Mission Ranch, and a signed Randy Travis t-shirt. The Raptor Club would like to thank KIS Photo for doing such a beautiful job framing many of the signed items.

A basketball signed by Tubby Smith was also auctioned off along with a basketball signed by UK senior players. A variety of themed gift baskets were also auctioned off along with many other items. Several of these items were donated by local merchants and we would like to thank them for their support.

People who were in attendance at the auction also enjoyed a chili supper and were able to participate in a silent auction of cakes provided by the booster club. We hope this year's auction will be the first of many successful fundraising events.
