Members from the Conservation Club received a national award from the President of the United States and the Environmental Protection Agency for the volunteer work the school has done with environmental projects. The EPA Chief of Staff, Don R. Christy, presented the award to the group sponsored by Frances Carter at the Center for Rural Development on May 12.
